The state that occurs with the use of amphetamines or sympathomimetic drugs. Intoxication can readily lead to overdose with severe or fatal toxicity. Symptoms include: high blood pressure , rapid heart rate ( tachycardia ), increased body temperature, agitation , stroke , seizures , cardiac arrhythmias , coma , and death.
